CDF Easter Blessings 2018

In 2017 Capital Direct Funding began the Easter Blessings Campaign. This thoughtful project came about through Frank Williams, Divisional Manager of CDF. Frank holds a dear childhood memory of his mother receiving a dinner from their church one Easter Sunday. Being a lower income family this held a significant appreciation and gratitude from him and his family. Even though this practice is most common during Christmas and New Year’s we understand how important Easter is to many of us and we believe it should be commemorated equally.

Since at Capital Direct Funding we like to do more than just lending, we have made it our moral duty to give back to our community.  During our first year of this campaign we fed twenty-four families with the help of fifteen kind hearted colleagues who donated $100 each. We missed our goal by just one meal, nonetheless, we were ecstatic about being able to help out the families we could  afford. This year we donated the monetary equivalent to five meals to Saint Christopher Catholic Church. This will aid the Church in providing a twenty five families with dinner for Easter 2018.

Last year’s meal consisted on a turkey dinner for four people from Honeybaked Ham Co. The meal included ham, three sides, and a dessert sampler. Along with this, we also included our personal favorites, pies from Marie Callander’s! The Christopher Columbus Catholic Church delivered the meals during their Easter Event. The families were put into a raffle and were selected in a fair process. Twenty five families were able to enjoy a nice dinner on Easter Sunday without any financial inconveniences.

Our motive to fundraise for less fortunate families has always been sustainability and community involvement. At Capital Direct Funding we are focused on helping our community, whether it be through financial loans to build your dreams or through a lovely dinner for your family on Easter Sunday.  We are passionate about giving back to the community and helping families, we pride ourselves in honoring our clients, our staff, and our community.
